Body and mind are a finely tuned interaction. Emotional experiences we endure can trigger physical pain in our body.
If we grow up experiencing a lot of insecurity, fear and grief without processing these feelings, this can trigger biochemical changes in our body that creates angst, depression, eating disorders and other similar reactions. The same can happen in adulthood.
We are not made to bear the painful experiences within us. When something bad happens, we all need someone to talk to who can listen and have the ability to empathize. As children, we need to grow up in a safe and secure environment.
When we develop angst, it is just the body trying to tell us that we must take care of ourselves and take a look at the difficult experiences we carry within, only then, can we let them free.
